Annie Mac welcomes the weekend at RockNess

10/06/2010

Radio One DJ to host show from Big Issue tent

Radio One DJ Annie Mac will kick off the weekend on Friday by presenting her show from the heart of RockNess in the Howard’s End Pub in association with The Big Issue.

Presenting the channel’s flagship dance show from the banks of Loch Ness, Annie will welcome special guests Fatboy Slim, Pendulum and Friendly Fires.

As the build-up to one of Scotland’s biggest party weekends reaches fever pitch, The Big Issue in Scotland can confirm we’re working with cultural icon Howard Marks to present a very special stage at the RockNess festival.

The Olde English-styled Howard’s End Pub, in association with The Big Issue, will play host to a selection of high profile guests across the weekend, with stars popping in to do a spot of DJing or perform acoustic sets.

Marks himself will also be sharing stories from his colourful life, reviewing the daily papers and enjoying the bar’s scrumptious real ale and cider.

Spaces will be limited for Annie Mac's show and will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

RockNess runs from June 11-13 at Dores near Inverness. Headliners include Fatboy Slim, The Strokes and Vampire Weekend.

More details on the line-up for Howard’s End Pub, in association with The Big Issue will be released later today.
